About this job

Our client, the Lusaka South Multi Facility Economic Zone Limited (LS MFEZ) is a subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). LS-MFEZ Ltd was incorporated on 25th June 2012 with a mandate to manage, operate and develop the LS-MFEZ. The main purpose of establishing the LS MFEZ is to promote manufacturing activities, to be supported by commercial and residential facilities. The line Ministry for LS-MFEZ Ltd is Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.

 

LS-MFEZ Ltd is headed by the Managing Director who is supported by managers in various divisions.

 

ROLE: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT (REFEA1)

Duties

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • To provide analytical, logistical, secretarial and research support to the office of the Managing Director, in order to facilitate the smooth operations of the office.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages effectively the official diary of the Managing Director in order to ensure the fulfilment of scheduled commitments.
  • Manages effectively internal and external communications for the Managing Director’s office in order to maintain the flow of information.
  • Manages effectively record keeping for the Managing Director in order to ensure storage and retrieval of information.
  • Manages effectively the petty cash float for the office of the Managing Director in order to meet incidental expenses.
  • Undertakes effectively the provision of protocol services for the Managing Director and other VIPS in order to ensure adherence to established standards of etiquette.
  • Acts as liaison between the Managing Director and the Managers.

 

EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management studies/Public/Administration/ Business Administration or related field.
  • Five (5) years post qualification experience in similar position.
  • Good writing skills e.g. short reports, briefs, minutes, etc.
  • Fluency in English and any other language.

  • High proficiency computer skill including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
