About this job

Our client is one of the leading, specialized automobile tyre retailers in Zambia currently operating fourteen (14) tyre sales and fitment outlets. They are seeking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager.


ROLE: Sales and Marketing Manager - Lusaka.



Duties



RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Sales Management: Monitor the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly performance of all sales points and proactively take timely and documented interventions to ensure that agreed company targets are being met
  • Marketing: Uncovering consumer insights and deliver innovative marketing campaigns; Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales; Liaise with media and advertising service providers, oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with product strategies
  • Customer Service and Claims Handling: Improve customer service/satisfaction and claims management: ensure happy customers through quality service and entire claims handling process; Develop and benchmark above competition customer service metrics
  • Manage Existing Business/ Market Share Retention: Help manage all existing clients by branch and ensure Tyre King is growing market share and customers stay satisfied and positive. Perform customer calls on key clients, presentations on solutions and services that meet or predict their future needs; Observe/monitor service provision by branch frontline staff and ensure each customer experience is good
  • Manage Performance and Delivery of Workshop Services: Analyze and improve the profitability of workshop services, protect workshop revenue by ensuring that fitment centre staff do not perform personal jobs
  • Liaise with maintenance section and ensure routine maintenance and calibration of workshop equipment


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or Engineering or a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial position looking after sales of a network of at least 3 branches and supervising a minimum of 6 members of a sales team
  • Good personal selling skills.
  • A strong background in tyres and or tyre fitment services would be a definite advantage.
  • Able to lead and manage a sales team
  • Able to work in a team of peers/senior managers
  • Professional membership ZIM, CIM
  • Computer literacy
  • SADC driving licence
