CLIENT PROFILE: Our client, a major retailer with wide footprint in several African countries, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant for its existing operations in Zambia.

ROLES: ACCOUNTANT (Lusaka)

RESPONSIBILITIES: To ensure financial and administrative functions are executed according to laid down procedures and accounting standards; to provide detailed analysis and reporting on key business components; and to perform management and financial reporting. In addition, the job holder will be required to oversee and provide guidance to the following administrative functions: Buyers Administration; Accounts Payable (Trade Creditors and Expenses); Banking and Takings; Payroll; and Store Administration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Chartered Accountant / B.Com Hons with Accounting as major subject
• 2 years in retail or FMCG sector
• SAP experience will be advantageous
• Member of ZICA
• Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment with a sense of urgency
• Must be meticulous, detail orientated and have an analytical approach
• Operational capability and pragmatic mindset
• Ability and willingness to regularly interact and engage across all levels of the business
• Unwavering integrity
