Our client is an international company which offers distribution and servicing of tyres for the bus, truck, earthmovers, agricultural and industrial tyre market. They are seeking to recruit two (2) Field Engineers to be based in Lusaka and Kitwe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product evaluation through the collection of field information, Development and implementation of field tests as well as reporting on the findings, Planning and attending surveys and making recommendations,  Judging, accepting  or rejecting claim adjustments and provide accurate, detailed reports, processing of liability claims, providing technical expertise on damaged/failed tyres, Resolving customer complaints and providing appropriate advise to individual users, Identify customer needs and make suggestions to improve customer satisfaction, Improve technical understanding of sales staff through training and strengthen their abilities, Give technical adjustments advise to sales staff and end user (where necessary), Provide customer service and training to improve overall maintenance levels within the region.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant degree or  Diploma
• Mechanical Engineering background.
• Minimum of 5 years technical experience.
• Computer Literate (MS Excel and Word at an advanced level).
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Customer focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Results/ Deadline driven with the ability to prioritize between more and less critical activities
• Strong product knowledge.
• Thoroughness, attention to detail, accuracy and punctuality essential.
