CLIENT PROFILE

Our client is an international Company whose head office is in Zimbabwe with a branch in Zambia. They deal mainly with Auctioning of Vehicles, Electronics, and Building materials among others. They are growing their business in Zambia and will be opening other business areas in addition to the ones presently in operation. They are seeking to recruit a GENERAL MANAGER to be based in Lusaka.

GENERAL MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops strategic plan by studying business opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
• Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
• Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.
• Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of Degree in Business related discipline.
• MBA in a relevant field will be ad added advantage.
• Must have at least ten (10) years experience in a related field with five (05) years at senior management level.
• Must be proficient in performance management, staffing, coordination, developing standards and strategic planning and execution.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be a member of a suitable professional body.
