Our client ,a Loss Adjuster Firm is seeking to employ a qualified and self-motivated, well experienced professional to fill the position of Insurance Loss Adjuster to be based in Lusaka, Zambia.

The Role

The ideal candidate will be a very well organised person who is an excellent communicator, good decision-making skills, numerical skills and analytical skills. They will have the ability to inspect and assess the damage and loss to insured property and business, estimating insurance costs, and acting to minimise the cost of claims to the insurance company. They should cope under high workload, prioritising work and, where necessary, requesting assistance from superiors.

Qualifications and experience

• Qualifications in risk management/insurance studies, economics, mathematics/statistics, or any business studies with an inclination to insurance will be accepted.
• Minimum of three(3) years working experience
• Relevant experience is a must
• Personality is very important.

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Attend investigation for motor and non motor claims
• Study and understand the scope of work and adopt the strategy of how to investigate, assess and adjust the loss ethically and professionally.
• Ensure that all area of concerns including Government Authority and insured’s territory is well attended and appropriate documents and information is obtained.
• Update the insurer on the status of the claim on daily basis.
• Complete the survey in the shortest possible time but the objectives should be met.
• Follow up with the insured regarding the relevant supporting documents.
• Follow up with the insurer for policy schedules
• Build business rapport with the respective insurers.
• Ensure that weekly assignments forms are filled before the deadline.
• Be a good team-player and contributor to achieve agreed targets.
• Perform with high integrity and professional approach when talking to insurer and insured.
• Suggest/recommend ways of improving survey.
• Show zeal and aggressiveness while handling the claim.
• Maintain proper discipline at all time.
• Perform any other tasks that may be assigned to you by your superiors
