MARKETING MANAGER
Our client, a mining company seeks a self starter, articulate and seasoned individual to join their team as Marketing Manager.

 

The Role

Working under the direction of very helpful leadership, every day duties will offer the occasion to manage, plan, supervise and co-ordinate – sales and marketing activities, for the purpose of maintaining and expansion of Sales Volume and Market Research.  This role represents an outstanding opportunity to grow your career in an environment where new ideas are encouraged and promoting from within is supported.

Your Success will be based on

  1. Being a degree or diploma holder in Marketing;
  2. Having  a minimum of 6-8 years experience as Marketing Manager;
  3. Being  be self-motivated with the ability to also work autonomously;
  4. Possessing an exceptional customer service focus;
  5. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  6. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel and the ability to transition to new software easily;
  7. Being a member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM);
  8. Having experience in the mining industry will be an added advantage.

The Opportunity

  1. Ensure Monthly Sales Orders/Targets are achieved and maintained;
  2. Establish marketing goals to ensure market share is achieved;
  3. Ensure timely collection of all outstanding amounts from customers supplied with coal;
  4. Liaise with other management staff on production, Sales and revenue collection achievements;
  5. Monitor company Product, production towards customer’s requirement in order to achieve adequate Coal quality and availability;
  6. Manage, develop and execute marketing plans and programmes within the designated budget;
  7. Develop and recommend pricing strategies to Management in order to be competitive;
  8. Monitor financial revenue and coal sales and Reconciliations;
  9. Prepare and produce Management Marketing and Sales Reports;
  10. Plan and organize stake holders meetings in order to enhance the company’s position in the industry.
