Duties

Academic and professional Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Business Administration.
  • First degree in Human Resource Management or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 8 years of human resource experience.
  • 4 years of management experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with key business partners; to anticipate, interpret and overcome obstacles; to continuously improve the working relationship between staff and Board/Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and effectiveness.
  • Impeccable conflict management and industrial relations capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point required
  • Solid understanding of Zambian labour laws.
  • Certified member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Guide the managers and other employees in matters related to career development, staffing initiatives, employee relations , workplace ethics and performance management.
  • Deal with the top management along with staff and employees of the company and act as a bridge between these sections in order to facilitate smooth functioning of the operations of the company
  • To collect HR metrics, analysis of the data, properly collating it, reporting and identifying of trends.
  • Facilitate orientation programs for employee motivation in order to direct them towards the organizational goals.
  • Facilitate the investigation and reporting of industrial accidents if any, that take place in the company.
  • Plan, supervise and coordinate the activities related to employment, labour relations, compensation and employee relations.
  • Design and organize employee training programs for safety issues.
  • Be well vested with arbitration decisions, legislation and collective bargaining contracts in order to asses’ trends in the industry.
  • Develop and monitor an annual budget that includes human resources services, employee recognition, sport teams and community events support, company and benefits administration.
  • Lead the development of department goals, objectives and systems
