Our client, a manufacturing company is looking for a driven, numerate and seasoned Logistics Officer to join their team.

The Role

Working under the guidance of very supportive leadership, daily duties will offer variety and the opportunity to keep abreast of warehouse activity by carrying out a range of tasks.   This role represents an outstanding opportunity to grow your career in an environment where new ideas are encouraged and promoting from within is supported.

Your Success will be based on

  • Being a degree or diploma holder in Logistics Management;
  • Having  a minimum of 6-8 years experience as Logistics Officer;
  • Having a strong character with the ability to understand and interpret ZDA and ZRA regulations and present practices in both organizations;
  • Ability to interact well with other Government Departments;
  • Being  be self-motivated with the ability to also work autonomously;
  • Possessing an exceptional customer service focus;
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel and the ability to transition to new software easily.

The Opportunity

  • Prepare logistics and support plans, deployment timelines and budget requirements for planned or new operations;
  • Develop logistical plans for existing operations;
  • Develop and implement methodologies and tools to enable effective execution of logistics plans;
  • Formulate Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Manage logistics operations, including, material and personnel;
  • Develop and implement logistics support policy, procedures and methodologies;
  • Prepare reports on personnel and material movements and other operational logistics issues.
