Our client, in the Banking industry seeks to employ a competent and qualified Director Human Capital and Administration



Main Purpose of Job:



To lead and implement all Human Resource initiatives, change programmes and best practices that facilitate the effective utilisation of the bank’s human resources in its endeavour to achieve its strategic goals and objectives, and provide advice to senior management across the entire panorama of HR activities.



Duties


Key Result Area

Main Responsibilities

Human Resource Strategy and Policy

  • Formulating human resource polices, strategies and action plans in line with the vision/mission and the strategic objectives and priorities of the bank and;
  • Advising management on the vision and strategic framework for the management of its human resources and policies.

Resourcing

  • Ensuring an outstanding recruitment and selection process experience for both candidates and hiring managers and;
  • Managing recruitment at all levels with a direct focus on senior roles

Human Resource Operations

  • Leading the human resources payroll inputting and records management and;
  • Leading the HR team to exceed goals, driving high engagement.

Human Resource Business Partner

  • Using data to create insights, prioritize areas of focus and guide teams in building resourcing plans and;
  • Ensuring design of the organization and optimize growth for the organization; lead annual HR Business Planning process including headcount and salary forecasting.

Organisation Development (Change Management)

  • Driving change management programmes and effecting culture changes to ensure the success of the organisation and;
  • Deploying talent management practice for the organisation in order to drive consistency in organizational performance and meet future business needs for quality talent and leadership.

Training and Development

  • Overseeing implementation of the learning and development strategy, frameworks and best practice to deliver effective performance and;
  • Leading staff training and development services to ensure the staff are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively and efficiently for overall achievement of Bank objectives.

Human Resource Planning and Budgeting

  • Developing workforce plans and budgets to ensure the plans and budgets are prepared in a timely manner, and that high quality standards are considered and;
  • Developing and implementing human resource procedures and systems such as performance appraisals, recruitment, discipline, conditions of service and training for consistency and fairness.

Rewards and Performance Management

  • Reviewing conditions of service and salaries for all staff in liaison with the relevant Human Capital Committees and Union and;
  • Overseeing performance appraisals to facilitate salary reviews, promotions, training and manages the Appraisal Scheme

Employee Relations

  • Ensuring proper termination arrangements are put in place for various types of separations to minimize litigation;
  • Administering the Disciplinary Code and Grievance Procedure and attends to employees’ disputes and grievances in the Bank.

Reporting

  • Supervising the accumulation of accurate HR reporting ensuring timely delivery and;
  • Preparing reports on labour movement in the Bank, highlighting trends, engagement, separations and IR climate for management information.

Team Leadership and Management

  • Overseeing the HR resources for effective job performance to contribute to the attainment of the objectives of the Bank and;
  • Overseeing performance management to ensure that performance objectives  are met and drive a strong performance culture across the bank



Qualifications and Experience:

  • First Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related discipline;
  • Masters in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration and other relevant fields from a recognised university;
  • Ten (10) years relevant experience, five of which should be at senior management level and
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
